Magic's Mission is a 100% foster-based rescue, with no physical shelter. We rely on the help of our generous fosters to be able to continue rescuing dogs. We work with fosters primarily in Upstate New York and down the east coast.

 

Many of our dogs are placed with foster families after being pulled from a kill shelter with very little time left at no fault of their own. These sweet animals often come to us confused, scared, and traumatized after suffering abuse and neglect. Fostering gives the dog time to decompress and learn how to trust people. Placing a rescued dog into a safe, loving home is the best way to get them
re-acclimated to family life and one step closer to being adopted.

Fostering an animal in need is incredibly rewarding. Our foster volunteers report that the joy of seeing their dog get adopted into their perfect forever home far outweighs the sadness of saying goodbye. And there will always be another dog who needs your love!

Dogs are incredibly resilient and forgiving, and their ability to bounce back from horrific circumstances and not only survive but thrive never ceases to amaze. These dogs make wonderful pets!
