Basic Needs

Many times dogs come to us without as much as a collar. A new collar is the first step to a new life, a sense of belonging. We also need leashes and slip leads, food, treats, toys, crates, dog beds and puppy pads for our younger fosters. We greatly appreciate purchased items as well as gift cards and homemade blankets and toys.

Routine Health Care

Even the most basic health care such as well visits and immunizations can cost hundreds of dollars per dog. Our gentle senior dogs often require additional medical care.

 

Special Medical Cases

Since we do not shy away from animals with medical needs, we incur significant medical expenses for some of our most special rescue cases. In the past year we have rescued a dog with a broken leg requiring an amputation and physical therapy, a senior beagle with an abdominal hernia the size of a grapefruit requiring surgery, a dog requiring eye removal surgery and several heartworm positive dogs. Excellent medical treatment helps these dogs go on to live happy, healthy lives, but the bills add up.
